In Northern Ohio that doesn’t really mean too much. We’re expecting temps near 70 on Sunday and about 35 on Monday. Yippee…..
A couple of weeks ago my treadmill sent my left foot through a wall. Yeah, I’m old. Don’t pick on me! It’s now patched up. Only need to paint it. Something else to add to my schedule.
I have been able to get outside to do some walking. Old and feeble folks like me need to do that. Otherwise, we melt into the recliner and they have to clean us up Brawny paper towels. That can get messy.
It’s hard to write and not talk about the current state of the world. Hard, but not impossible. It may take a bit of imagination and compartmentalization. That’s ok. Sometimes that’s what our head needs to stay attached and functioning.
Saw our friendly neighborhood Red Tail hawk flying around and making noise yesterday. We actually have a couple of nesting pairs within about a mile radius of my house. Keeps the chipmunk population from taking over the world. (I wish they would nest closer to my backyard!)
We’re continuing a study of the Deuteronomistic History Sunday A.M. I so cool to read these texts in the context that they were likely written. The old literalist approach to reading the Bible is so childish. It’s no wonder that the Church acts so immaturely!
